Jamie Edwards’ hospitality career began at age 13 when his parents were “too mean” to provide enough pocket money to fuel his early ambitions. That first job sparked a passion that’s carried him through more than 30 years in the industry—aside from a brief detour in corporate finance.

The Bar-i Mission: Reinventing Inventory

For the past 16 years, Jamie has served as CEO of Bar-i, overseeing more than 50,000 bar inventory audits in over 40 states for hundreds of U.S. clients. What began as a fully service-based business—physically traveling to bars to count bottles—has evolved into a tech-enabled services platform that empowers bars to perform faster, more accurate inventory while matching purchases and counts against sales. The result? A precise comparison of what’s poured versus what’s sold, unlocking powerful profitability insights.

Jamie’s deep expertise spans counting optimization, POS reprogramming and selection, invoice reconciliation, error detection, and all the other details that turn inventory into a profit-making tool. He’s personally completed hundreds of in-person inventory setups, giving him a rare, ground-level perspective. He knows the frustration of broken processes firsthand—and that irritation has fueled his mission to reinvent inventory for better results.
